Here Comes Tiger Splash!!!!

Hi all,

The Tiger Splash Board is excited to email about all the wonderful preparations that are underway for the 2022 Season. We are eager to see everyone again this summer! Below are some important updates; please have a read.

Season Registration
Registration will open for returning families on March 11th at 6am. Please add a note to your calendar! This season the cost of registration will increase to $210.00 per swimmer to absorb increased facilities and operating costs. Registration for new families will open on March 18th at 6am. This season swimmers will return to having four practices (optional) a week, Monday-Thursday.

Coaching Search
The Board is currently conducting a search for a primary coach. James Landrum, Board Vice President, is heading the search. If you have any input for the selection, you may reach James at [email protected].

Tune-Up Clinics
Nitro Swimming offers a great winter season Tune-Up clinic as a refresher to help prepare swimmers for the upcoming season. The clinic starts on Feb 5th – and runs for 13 consecutive Saturdays. CLICK HERE for more information.

Supporting Tiger Splash
Tiger Splash participates in the Amazon Smiles charitable donation program, where your every purchase in Amazon provides a small return to our Tiger Splash Team. Please consider adding Tiger Splash to your Amazon account using the following link: CLICK HERE

Tiger Splash Sponsors
We are looking for any individuals, businesses, or organizations who are willing to help sponsor our team for the summer. The sponsorships help offset our operating expenses and are recognized by the team in a variety of ways throughout the season. We are grateful for the community partnerships that have helped sustain the Tiger Splash experience for our swimmers. If you know anyone who might be interested please email the board at [email protected].

TAAF Eligibility

As a reminder, Tiger Splash is a summer recreational swim team affiliated with the Texas Amateur Athletic Foundation (TAAF). Any swimmer wishing to compete at the regional and state level must maintain their TAAF eligibility.

From January 1st - April 30th all swimmers ages 12 and under are limited to swimming 90 minutes per week. Swimmers ages 12 and under may NOT compete in any swim meets (other than the Winter Games of Texas) or participate on a year-round team during this period. Swim programs or clinics that are open to the public are excellent options for 12 and under swimmers who wish to swim during that time frame. Please note that swimmers 13 & over do not have any restrictions on swimming under the TAAF Guidelines.
