Parents-

I just spoke to the pool manager and the pool is fine for us to swim in tonight.  The crazy storms have passed.  However, please use your own discretion about how safely you can leave your house and travel to the pool.  The playground is not really useable tonight and the place where parents sit behind the fence has a lot of standing water.  However, you can sit under the pavilion and stay dry this evening while your child is at practice.  We will send out a more formal newsletter, but I wanted to include a few quick notes since I have your attention.

Communication

Sign-up for the team Remind from the link sent yesterday.  If you didn't receive the notification, let us know and we can resend it to you.  Also, download the Swimtopia app to follow all information, calendars, and updates at the meets.  We send out email notices from one of the board members if we need to get quick information to you about practice. We also send out newsletters.  Lastly, you can sync your calendar with the calendar from our website. 

Bathing suit swap

If you have a suit from a previous season that is still in good condition, but no longer fits your child and you want to pass it on with will have an informal suit swap. You can drop off and the previous boys or girls competition type suits (practice or team) and if you need one you can look to see if there is one in a size you need.

Team Merchandise

Follow the merchandise tab on the team website www.tigersplashswim.org and see all the team merch including Tiger Splash caps, personalized caps, t-shirts, etc.  Orders are due by May 17th.  Swim Freak swim shop will also have goggles, caps, suits, etc. when they are at practice from May 14th and 15th from 4:30-7:30 pm.  If you can't make it one of the days they are here, you can visit their shop in S. Austin and let them know you are on Tiger Splash.

Kick-off Party

We will have a season kick-off party potluck on May 23rd 5-8pm. More information to follow, but mark your calendars for this super fun night and chance to get to meet other swim families.  Siblings are welcome.  Even if you haven't started swimming with us yet, come out for the team picture and a chance to hang out.

Check-in

Please have your child wait in the pavilion or playground until their time to check-in.  Then they need to let someone at the gate know they are here so we can check them in for each practice. 

If you haven't turned in any of your paperwork, please do so as soon as possible.
